Using a teleprompter during a webcast presentation is a great way to keep your eyes on the camera and therefore maintain eye contact with your audience. However there is also a risk. The risk is that you use it to read lengthy texts on the teleprompter and that you don’t sound natural anymore.
Be careful when you plan to use a teleprompter to read text during a webcast presentation. It may not have the desired effect. What you can do is to organize the screen on your teleprompter to have the slide on it and maybe some key words that you want to use to keep track of what you need to say. A timer in one of the corners of the screen to monitor the time. If you have live images from audience members who speak you can put this image in the center of the screen to ensure that you directly look into the camera when you speak to a member of your audience that asked a question.
