When you are listening to the radio or watching television you will hear jingles, so called “bumpers” and tunes. These effects are usually used to for an audio break in between different sections. With a recognizable sound, the intention is to create a recognition for a new section and / or a separation between sections.
Such jingles, bumpers, tunes can also be used during a webcast. Playing a sound to highlight a section, topic or the end of a break can be helpful in elevating the perceived quality of your webcast presentation. You do however need to find a correct balance as you don’t want to overdo it by using too many different sound effects during a webcast presentation.
