Various conference call and webinar systems have a functionality where you hear a ping sound when persons arrive and/or leave the conference call or webinar. When you have a conference call with just a couple of persons this may be helpful as you can easily identify if someone enters or leaves and adjust your presentation accordingly.
However, if you have a conference call or webinar where you present for a large group of persons it may become very distractive if you hear this ping sound every time a person is entering of leaving. With a large group of persons this is most likely going to happen and you will not change your messaging or start again if only a few persons from the large group enter the call or webinar a bit late. Therefore it is better to disable the entry and exit sound for a conference call or webinar that is held for a large group of persons. You should be able to easily arrange for this in the settings of the conference call or webinar system.
