Don’t present too long during a conference call

People have a rather limited concentration span and this is especially true when they can only hear you and are not able to see your which is the case for example during a conference call. Therefore it is important to keep the attention during a conference call which can be very challenging.

Your audience on a conference call is easily distracted. They may be behind their computers and have a lot of distractions in front of them. From email to the intranet and from social media to documents they need to work on. Your audience can be distracted rather anonymously as you cannot see if they pay attention or not. There are various things you can do to ensure they continue to pay attention. Using of questions during your presentation is one way, but one of the easiest things to do is to keep your presentation as short as possible. Keep it brief and to the point. Focus on what matters most especially during a conference call.
