For your own safety and for the safety of your audience, you should check the room you are presenting in before the arrival of your audience. For example are there any loose cables on the floor that you or someone else could trip over?
Use the tape in your Public Speaking Kit to stick the cables to the floor. Also look at where it is safe to walk in the room. Are there any shelfs mounted on the wall that are too low and you can hit your head against? May be you can use bright yellow post-it notes to mark the corners or put something underneath it to avoid you or others walk against it. Have you checked where the emergency exits are and if they function correctly / are accessible?
