There are situations where for example you are facilitating a training together with somebody else (co-facilitator). Sometimes the set-up of the room is such that you and your co-facilitator have a desk in front of the room where you (or your co-facilitator) can sit when the other is presenting.
Especially when you are sitting in the front of the room you need to be fully aware of the fact that the audience can see what the other facilitator is doing when the other person is presenting something. Please ensure that you align with you co-facilitator that he / she is also paying attention. If the audience can see that your co-facilitator is checking his / her e-mail while you are presenting, this gives the impression to your audience that whatever you are talking about is not important. Therefore make sure that you agree with your co-facilitator that he / she is also paying attention to your part of the presentation.
If you give this presentation multiple times, you could alternatively provide for a set-up where your co-facilitator is sitting in the back of the room so that your audience is not able to see what he / she is doing while you are presenting.
