When using a microphone you could encounter interference: buzzing noise, humming sound, high loud tone or beep. In almost all cases this if very irritating, hard to ignore and distracting. There are various reasons for such interference to occur and therefore also various thing that you can do to avoid the interference to occur.
Check with the technician before your presentation what could cause interference at the specific location. Usually they know what could go wrong and how to avoid this from happening. For example there may be certain spots on the stages where there could be interference with other radio transmitters. If you know where those spots are, you just have to avoid being on those spots with your microphone. It is also important to use the microphone correctly. Speak directly into the microphone and avoid pointing the microphone to a nearby loudspeaker.
