Align format date and metrics with your audience

Is it 11/03/2018 or 03/11/2018? Is it March 11, 2018, 11 March 2018, November 3, 2018 or 3 November 2018? Do you use miles per hour or kilometres per hour? Kilo or pound?

What best to use should normally not depend on what you are used to, but what your audience is used to. Therefore align the format and metrics with what your audience is used to see. This makes your presentation easier to follow for them. If you have a mixed audience, it is probably best to use both. Tell them or show them on the presentation screen the number in km/h and mph. For the date don’t use 11/03/2018, but state the actual Month: March 11, 2018. Alignment of date and metrics with your audience will make it easy to follow.
