Repeat yourself

Don’t think that all members of your audience will get what you say the first time that you say it. For a good presentation you will have to repeat yourself. Don’t cram a lot of information in your presentation. Thake the time to explain and use examples to repeat what you say and use a summary at the end of your presentation.

There are plenty of distractions for your audience. If they miss a minute and this is the minute where you tell a very important part of your presentation, the will miss the point. You can avoid that be means of repeating what you said earlier. Repetition is an important part of storytelling and making sure that your audience will remember what you have said. Obviously in most cases you won’t use exactly the same words, but you should repeat the key point by using for example different stories, examples, pictures, an introduction and a summary the repeat the key messages of your presentation.
