Power for your best presentation ever

Great presentations don’t necessarily need support from electronic devices but it may be very helpful to support your presentation. When you rely on electronic devices such as laptop, iPad screen with timer and/or a wireless pointer, you need to make sure that these are fully charged / connected to a power source to ensure the devises will work during your presentation.

Despite the power backup solutions you should be prepared with a back-up scenario in case the electronic equipment doesn’t work. For example take with you a copy of your slides on paper, so you can use this to keep track. In terms of power backup solutions, here are a couple of items to include in your own Public Speaking Kit:

1) Spare battery for the wireless pointer (or second wireless pointer). Note that the wireless pointer that is part of the Public Speaking Kit has a battery status indicator (follow link for more information).

2) A portable power bank that can be used to charge your equipment.
Power extension cord to reach power socket at the presentation location.
When you need to present in another country don’t forget to check the power plug as you may need to bring an international power plug / socket.

3) USB extension cable. This may be useful when you are using for example a tablet during presentation that is used as a monitor for you. By means of this you can put the tablet on a convenient spot and keep it charged.

Bring and use tape to stick any cables on the floor as you don’t want someone (including yourself) to trip over the cables. Make sure you have the power for your next presentation!
