Giving a presentation about the future is not easy. You have a big chance of loosing your audience during the presentation as they may not be able to make the link to what they are used to do today. When you are preparing for a presentation about the future you made all kind of estimates, guesses, used presumptions and extrapolated trends. If you don’t led your audience follow a similar route during your presentation, they may not understand how you get to this future image / vision that you try to present.
One of the things that you can do is making a clear link between what your audience is familiar with today and what it will look like in the future. Use images of the object from today and images of what it will look like in the future.
Explain why there was an evolution to lead to the changes and what the benefits were of these changes. Use stories that your audience can relate to about the present and the future to make the future become alive for your audience.
You can use quotes and a title for your presentation to make it appear realistic and not too futuristic.
“The future is only a second away”
