A great structure for your presentation

A great presentation will usually consist of a number of specific elements. One of these elements is a great structure.

 

The structure should be easy to follow for your audience.

 

The structure has a clear beginning, middle and end. You don’t want to lose the attention of your audience, which is something that could happen when your presentation doesn’t follow a clear structure.

 

If someone can’t follow the structure they will get lost and start doing something else. Or this person will ask the person next to him, who then stops paying attention and may also get lost. It creates turmoil in the audience and before you know it, most of your audience lost attention.


A presentation with a great structure is easy to follow and will include “hooks” along the way that will assist your audience too keep track and in case they do get lost can get on track again quickly do the structure of the presentation. An agenda at the beginning with section and checkpoints / summaries along the way and at the end of the presentation may be very helpful.
