When giving a presentation to a specific audience only once may provide you with the freedom to pretend to be someone else and “borrow” all kind of acts, jokes, slides from other presenters. However your audience may get the feeling looking at some kind of “Frankenstein” presentation as it won’t be really you that they are looking at.
It may feel comfortable for you as you can mirror what was successful for other presenters, but there is a risk in doing this. It is the risk on not being authentic.
For the next level of presenting you need to be authentic. Create your own authentic image for your audience.
What is it that would make you special?
What is it in your presentation style that members want to come back to the next presentation and the one thereafter?
Being authentic and giving a presentation that is close to who you are and what you represent is a challenge for most who start presenting. Adding your own personal branding to your presentations will make it unique for your audience.
