Feeling matters. Add a level of feeling to your presentation

You shouldn’t ignore the importance about the feeling that your audience has in regards to the topic of your presentation. As a matter of fact, you may find it very impactful to address the feeling of your audience as part of the introduction of your presentation.

You can tell your audience what the impact of your presentation will be on their feeling. As part the introduction you can for example say:

• “You may fee anxious about the upcoming changes, however based on what I will present to you today, I am sure that you will feel more relaxed about …”
• “I know that most of you are nervous about …, I will present to you actionable techniques that will make you feel more confident about … so you can overcome your nervous feeling.”
• “We all feel sad about …., however during my presentation I will show you some different perspectives which will surely give you a feeling of joy in regards to …”

Emotions and how people feel matters to your audience. By addressing the feeling of your audience and the impact that what you will present on this feeling will grab the attention of your audience from the start.
