What are you saying? Visualize your messaging.

When you are presenting to an audience you could use some interesting sayings which people can visualize and relate to. If you link this to the key messaging of your presentation it will be more memorable for your audience. But, especially when you speak to an international audience you should be careful with using certain phrases as it may not be understood.

For example if you say “it is as motherhood and apple pie” your audience can visualize this but may not be able to understand what is meant by this saying.

A different example that people can visualize and understand what you want to bring across is the following:

If you are in a hole you need to stop digging. Look up and ask for help to get out of your hole”.

People can visualize being in a hole and will get the meaning. Letting your audience visualize things that are linked to your key messaging is quite a powerful way of enforcing that they will remember what you have said during your presentation.
