Present a topic from the “Why?” perspective

There a different approaches to present a topic. Practice learns that some approaches are more effective than others. For example you need to present a plan or new product. You could start with talking about all the features of the product or different steps of the plan, but this is not the most effective way to convince your audience during your presentation.

It works better if you start with the core and answer the question “Why?”.

Why?
Why was the product or plan created? Why are you passionate about the plan or what the product can do? Why do you believe in it? Go back to the underlying drivers that you and your audience have.

How?
Next you should address the “How?” question. How does the product or plan resolve a problem or make things better / easier?

What?
Last part to address is the “What?” question. What does the product or plan includes? What is it? What does it look like? In this part you will address the features of the plan or product.
