Memory aids for public speaking

When you are presenting in front of an audience you don’t want to forget something important or have your presentation derailed as you didn’t remember to mention a vital part.

There are some smart memory aids that you can use to ensure you don’t miss anything important.

A clever positioned computer screen with the speaker notes may be of assistance, but you can also project your speaker notes on a screen that is in the back of the room behind your audience.

There are also certain more ‘hidden memory aids’ that you can create. Put a list with items on a piece of paper on the back of a flip-over chart. When you for example are asking your audience to come up with a list of things that you write down on a flip-over chart paper you can have a quick look at the paper with the list that you have put on the back of the flip-over chart to ensure that you didn’t forgot any. You can read more tips and tricks about memory aids in the book that is part of the Public Speaking Kit.
