The audience is anxiously waiting for your presentation. They are curious about how you will perform and what you have to say. You obviously want to get it right from the start and avoid losing the attention of your audience. But how can you best start your presentation? What can you do to avoid a big failure? We will introduce a simple model that includes 4 aspects that should be included in the start of your presentation.
The model is called the “CORB” model and it entails a ‘basket’ of 4 aspects that should be part of the start of your presentation. This model can be applied for all presentations / public speaking opportunities and when applied will significantly enhance your public speaking skills. Practice has proven that if you miss one of the 4 aspects of the CORB model in the introduction of your presentation it will reduce the quality of the presentation / speech from the perspective of your audience. In the book that forms part of the Public Speaking Kit we will describe the application of the CORB model and provide tips and tricks on how to put the CORB model in practice.
